The Industry
The chemical industry is an important supplier of products used in industrial processes. These critical processes require robust pumps offering high operating reliability. And that’s where KSB comes in: with our innovative solutions we set standards in industry.
Our Solution
Urea production is a large market and bound to gain even more importance with the progress of SCR catalyst technology. And KSB already has a solution: the CPKN standardised chemical pump. CPKN’s modular design system offers a great variety of sizes as well as materials, and hence allows for making perfect pumps for all fluid transport requirements.
Your Benefit
CPKN offers a product variety like virtually no other standardised chemical pump. The majority of variants can be configured from our modular design system, which makes for fast handling of enquiries, smooth order processing and production within the scope of KSB’s standard concept. Moreover, we offer competent and experienced support covering your entire process, both during and after commissioning.
The Industry
The chemical industry is the fourth largest industrial sector of the German economy and drives innovation like no other: as a supplier of important and research-driven products for other industrial sectors.
Thus, absolute operational reliability of all system components is of highest priority in the chemical industry. Only perfect products can fully cope with the ever increasing demands in terms of safety and stability.
Smooth processes must be ensured when manufacturing and transporting a wide variety of substances. Despite a multitude of chemical reactions, constant results must be produced, even during long operating periods.
KSB has always been committed to highest quality and so makes a vital contribution to safety and progress. How? By setting standards in industry.

Our Solution
One field of the inorganic chemical industry is the production of urea. Urea is not only contained in nitrogen fertilisers and cosmetics but also used for the chemical reduction of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gases of power plants and internal combustion engines. The major automotive manufacturers have responded to this and are now offering the first cars fitted with the new urea catalyst technology. For lorries, the technology has been a success for some years now. This is a major step towards meeting the global emission targets.
With its products used in the industrial production of urea, KSB is ahead of the competition. Our CPK, tried and tested with more than 200,000 pumps sold, was developed further. The resulting CPKN can be used not only for aggressive, polymerising or gas-containing fluids, it is capable of and suitable for much more: standard heatable models are available for safely and reliably handling fluids such as urea. Built to meet the latest technical standards and to provide even higher levels of quality, the newly developed CPKN is designed to do a great job.
KSB’s modular design system provides you with a great variety of materials and available sizes which even exceed the stringent requirements of chemical standards. More than 3 million pump variants which KSB offers allow for individual solutions with standard components. On this modular design basis, optimum pumps perfectly matching your fluids handling requirements can be manufactured.
The “most flexible standardised chemical pump”, CPKN can be tailored to your individual needs within no time and enables fast quotations, order processing and delivery.
Your Benefit
Choosing CPKN means that you will have a pump offering very high operational reliability, which is available in all the variants required to meet the application needs of the chemical and many other industries.
In addition, spare parts stocks and operating costs can be kept low by using standardised components.
Thus, our CPKN is particularly economical as well as easy to service and will set standards also in the future. Such great success is only possible by working closely with customers who opt for individually manufactured standard products when planning and designing their plants. Our KSB Service specialists are at your disposal 24/7. From product installation and commissioning to servicing and repair. And we are happy to contribute the competence and experience of our 2,500 service employees. A process which sets standards in all aspects.
